Today on August 6th,2015 we woke up pretty early to get on the bus and head out. We were on the bus for about an hour before we reached our destination. Bowmanville Zoo surprised us with meeting and being with a baby tiger and lion. They were both so playful and cute! We each got to take turns seeing and petting both and I can honestly say I was so ready to take one home! After that we got about an hour to go around the Zoo to explore and of course I had to head straight to the Lions! As you will see on my blog I took a photo of me holding a stuffed lion in front of the lion cage. SToday I took that special photo in honour of Cecil the beloved lion who was killed by trophy hunters. I have been trying to get the word out to stop trophy hunting. Animals should not be killed or hurt In there natural habitats especially if they have done nothing wrong. I speak on behalf of Cecil in hopes that people will change there minds about trophy hunting. After all of that we just continued to look around to see the goats ,zebras, alpacas, and so on.
After an hour had passed we headed off for our next surprise which was lunch at the Eaton centre mall. We ate around 2:00 at a place called Rrichtree Taco truck. I ordered the three beef taco’s and they were incredible! They were so tasty and overall they were very organized and had different options for people and it was overall great. Also it didn’t take long at all for our food to be ready so I would for sure recommend it. Richtree’s new taco truck is serving up delicious tacos and burritos! So if you have not ate there before I would for sure try it out!
Next we went onto another mall which was Yorkdale mall and we got surprised with a 10$ gift card to wherever we wanted so we headed to Victoria Secret which I was super happy about! I ended up buying a grey sweater with angel on the back and wings for the zipper which I thought was super cute (im wearing it right now) and than I also got a orange top with Victoria Secret written on the front as well as a nice pink lip gloss which I also thought was super cute.
After a wonderful time at the mall we finally headed out for dinner and we also were surprised with a Medieval Times dinner where we actually had to use our hands to eat so it was messy but interesting. We got served all these different things such as corn, in replace of chicken I had vegetarian rice with beans, garlic bread, tomato soup and than a tarte for dessert the food tasted incredible and I left stuffed! We also got to watch a joust while we ate our food and as well cheered on the red team, but of course we lost. I even ended up buying a cute little horseshoe and horse key chain for a souvenir.
After a long and tiring day I was so thankful for the time I had, I had the best time of my life and I am so incredibly lucky and thankful.
Goodnight-Miss Teenage Sarnia
The platform that I choose is Animal cruelty because ever since I was a little girl i’ve adored animals more then anything in the world, I always had a special bond with them. Animals have made a huge impact on my life. I personally suffer from depression and I always found animals were my happiness. I’ve always hated more then anything seeing animals hurt or if I see a lost dog I always found myself trying to find it a home. I believe every single animals deserves love. No animal deserves to be abused and forgotten about. That’s why I hope we can make a change to it and make a difference.
My platform means a lot to me because I communicate with animals so well it’s like I can feel what they feel. Animals have made a big difference in my life and always make me smile brighter and bigger. I’ve loved animals since the beginning, they have such unconditional love and are so amazing.
What I would do to promote my platform if I was Miss Teenage Canada is, I would create events and fundraise for shelters as well as get the word out across Canada by helping out animals and rescuing animals across Canada to get them the help they need. I as well will try and get the word out about instead of buying puppy mills you could adopt from the shelter that way the more animals that get adopted and get homes the more hurt and abandoned animals they could bring in to help and rehome. I would also be working closer with the Humane Society and would also like to be a Vet Tech when I am older.
There are so many animals and the population of animals that are hurt, abandoned and abused has increased a lot. And I think we need to reach out to them and be the voice for the voiceless, animals have no way to defend themselves and I think we need to be there voice and help them as much as we can.

The reason why Canada is great is our freedom!
Freedom, the right to vote, the right to your religion, opportunity. There are so many things to why Canada is great! To most people us Canadians live in Igloos and ride Polar bear’s to school or work but no! We are so much more than that.
In Canada one thing we are very well known for is our freedom towards citizens. In Canada you also have the freedom of speech, thought and many other things which I think is very important, and I am thankful for where I live each and everyday. In Canada you have the right to express religion, sexual orientation, Individuality, and you also have access to education. Canada is a safe and very friendly welcoming country for those who are looking for a fresh start.
Canada is not only a nation of people, it’s also and incomparable feast of wilderness, mountains, lakes, rivers, forests and just about anything else to offer. Canada has the most beautiful scenery for the second largest country in the world. We also have access to three oceans.
Canada is also well known for our free health care. Canada has the finest physicians, Nurses’s, Technicians and support staff to make sure that patients are treated well. Canada has one of the world’s best health care systems. Canada is a country with high education achievement. Canada has the best educated people with the highest literacy rate in the world. Canada offers free primary and secondary education for students.
In Canada we have the right to marry whom ever we please. Canada has also legalized same sex marriage since 9 years ago before any other country, while they were still debating the issue. On July 20th is when gay marriage in Canada was legalized and were also the fourth country to do so.
Poutine is heaven on a platter. Oh how us Canadians love that great savoury taste of french fries, gravy and cheese curds all plastered together, oh how it tastes so good. The last thing i’m going to say why Canada is the greatest is our Tim Hortons! I’m pretty sure every Canadian before work heads to Tim Hortons at like 8am to get there steeped tea, double milk, double sugar of course;) or their coffee. Don’t forget the way you end up going to Tim Hortons almost everyday so you can try and win roll up the rim to get a free donut or coffee.
That is overall why I think Canada is the greatest country a long with so many more other things I could list but i’ll end it here. I am very thankful to live in this beautiful l country and appreciate all the opportunities available to me like Miss Teenage Canada. 🙂
On June 10th,2015 I was invited abord the Duc, Orleans cruise for the Cat Chance fundraiser. Many were bordered along the cruise for a wonderful time! There was live music and delicious home made food as well as a raffle. I had a wonderful time going around getting my picture with people as well as going up to introduce my platform.
Ever since I was a little girl iv’e adored animals more then anything in the world, I always had a special bond with them. Animals have made an impact on my life. Cat Chance is an organization who’s goal is to create awareness about the importance of spay and neuter and to decrease the feral cat population through a volunteer based Trap Neuter Release Program. You can find Cat Chance on facebook where it will tell you all about the program and what they do to help.
I thank Cat Chance for inviting me along the cruise I had such a great time, so many incredibly sweet people and the music was great to sing a long to:)
On June 13th, I was invited to help out with the annual Kids Fun Fest. The fun fest were for all ages. The event was free which was great! It had different booths with all the information about safety and health such as water safety, street safety, people safety. They had different clubs you can join such as Blue water gymnastics,Irish Dancing,Karate and many more that were available for kids to get started in.
They had pony rides for the kids as well as train rides. I got to help with the train ride which was a load of fun! The kids loved it, before every ride I had them cheer and make as much noise as they can to thank the train conductor. The kids were adorable the questions I was asked most was “Are you a Princess?” or “Do you live in a castle?” I think it was the most cutest thing Iv’e ever been asked.
Probably one of the best highlights of my day was riding in the train with all the dogs. We went around to pick them up and all the dogs got into each cart with their owners and we went for a train ride. The dogs were incredibly excited which was even cuter.
I sadly had to leave early to get dresses for the pageant but I thanked everyone for such a great time, and everyone was so kind I had an amazing time. That is just a short highlight on what my day was like at the 20th Annual Kids Fun Fest.
On April 05th, 2015 our family travelled to St Lucia. We took a plane there and arrived around 6pm. We stayed at the beautiful resort St James Club Morgans Bay. It was beautiful and the people were incredibly friendly and so welcoming. The weather was incredibly beautiful and rainy at the same time. I met some of the local people at the market in Castries, they were all so sweet and talented, I had to buy a few things;).
We took a boat tour to do a mud bath in the sulphur springs it was a very muddy and relaxing experience! We got to see a garden with the most beautiful plants and flowers and had a delicious meal. We also got to do some snorkelling and see tons of different fish, I was so close to getting stung by a jellyfish at least 5 times…
We also took a trip to Pigeon island where we got to see some of the buildings and structures from the war and they were incredibly cool. We did some snorkelling and I got to see some adorable island dogs and cats, I was ready to take them home but sadly couldn’t. We also did another tour which was horseback riding which I absolutely love, of course my mom has never rode a horse before and was terrified but I laughed oops haha! We rode along a trail and along the beach and got poured on, but overall it was such a fun experience.
